You usually don't see harvesters and planters in the same machine IRL.
Having one machine for planting and another for harvesting would probably mess up the field aesthetics though., because there is no way it would know where to put grass that I can imagine.
I know that there are planters and harvesters that fold up to fit through narrower roads or openings, but I'm not sure how that would work with the contraption/train system.
Why can the wheat grow without water?
The perks of living on a farm is that if you wanna build a tractor for a situation like this you could literally step outside, walk into a barn less then 300 feet or so away, take a pic of a tractor with your phone and call it good.
Needs to be a conbine harvesting the wheat not a tractor

Combine Harvesters were actually invented in the early 50s. The first one was the Fahr MD 1 which was also pretty tiny. Some other early ones were the Claas Hercules, Lanz MD 50 and IHC D61. The way you built the tractor, it would drive over the crops before harvesting them which would reduce the yield significantly.
If you have the Straw Staue Mod, why not use it to Occupy your different Citys with Patreons or Subscribers
Seeing the lone scarecrows in the field suddenly made me realize why so many horror movies have farm fields in them

You are probably gonna want to chunk load the chunk with the detachement point that way the redstone comparator is always working.

A few flowers among the wheat and a beehive on the tree with a couple of bees flying around might look good. Tho knowing bee pathfinding they might end up getting in the way of the tractor and unalive themselves. Love the build , it looks awesome!
