  1. Back in the eighties I opened a few of these to find out what was rattling in there. I was disappointed because they used to not be balls. They were just little cutoffs of some kind of metal rod.

  2. I do this all the time to get the marbles out although it seems like they're going for straight clear glass now. It's much easier to drain the can and use a can opener. a paint can opener as it will be covered in paint from now on because you're guaranteed not to get all the air out and be lazy and want to open it sooner.
