  1. Thrilled this video popped up in my feed! Loved every minute. Fudge, you are a Legend! I could listen to your stories for days and proud to be your friend. Truly was the trip of a lifetime. Brendon, thanks for doing this and great job hosting/producing!

  2. Moved to Pensacola and am loving the Blue's here. The ladies / aviators have joined the Blues with Lcdr. Amanda Lee as a badass slot / safety officer and a new one coming for the 2025 season. Thank you for your service sir.

  3. I very recently found your channel and love it! My dad started taking me to military air shows (he was Navy!) when I was 3 years old so I grew up watching the Blue Angels fly…and that was back in 1960!!! Although I've also seen the Air Force's Thunderbirds fly many times as well, I've always said that they are fantastic, but the Blues are better! I've seen "Around the World at the Speed of Sound" and it's the best documentary that I've ever seen. Larry is an awesome speaker. I would love to meet and talk to him in person. He's got the best stories. His sense of humor is great and he's very charismatic. This is a wonderful podcast. Thank you!

  4. A high school buddy of mine was a grape on the Saratoga in the latter half of the 80s and he let me look at his cruise books from that time. Sure enough, there was young Fudge in VA-85 and young Dino in VA-81. Made me wonder if and how well they may have known each other during those cruises and if they could've imagined they'd be flying together with the Blue Angels just a few years later. Just a couple of good ol' Saratoga boys…

  5. So good to see Larry and hear his voice once again. Hard to believe 30 years have passed! The Blues visit to Stockholm was one of the most memorable events in my naval career. I would be remiss in not saying thanks for replaying my brief cameo appearance in the video, where I introduced myself to Larry on the tarmac in Tullinge. The Blues blue and gold aircraft were a perfect match for the Swedish flag 🇸🇪! A not too well known side bar to this historic event was that the Finnish Air Force was in final selection process of a new jet aircraft. The F/A-18 Hornet was in direct competition with Sweden’s JAS Gripen fighter! Thanks for the memories! And I still have my Rob Stone Around the World at the Speed of Sound tour t-shirt! 😂

  6. Just found your channel. I'm a Highschool kid who's just getting started with my PPL, I'm from the SEA area flying out of PAE. I found your channel yesterday and already have watched all of your videos. Love the channel! Keep it up! Would love if you did a video on how you got to the airlines!

  7. I love hearing the story’s. You can really see how genuine Larry is as a person. I hope to meet you both one day if/when I enter the airline world. Around the world at the speed of sound was an incredible documentary and an inspiration (I still rewatch it every couple months). I hope we get to see him on here again. Great content!

  8. Great show. Please make a Part 3. I know Larry picks the winner, and know Pilots hate the Flight Surgeon's Office. FYI. In my 25-year career as Nurse Practitioner in US Navy Reserve, retiring as an O-6 with two deployments, I've never DNF'd a Strike Fighter Pilot. Stay healthy, Fudge. #FlyNavy

  9. I love all the stories Larry shares with us! This podcast brings us from the stands to the flight line! Thanks letting us into your world! Love the podcast, keep doing what your doing!

  10. Great show and I loved all the stories! Larry is such an awesome individual and such a humble person. I truly appreciate the way he treats people. Definitely one of the best line checks I’ve ever had here at Alaska. 😎

  11. What an amazing interview. I loved listening to the "untold" stories of that time. Keep up the the good work with the podcast! Thank you Larry for your time and enjoy your will deserved retirement!

  12. I was stationed on 2 Aircraft Carriers (non pilot), I worked below the waterline in the power plant. I did get a chance to fly off and then land on the carrier twice. Not in a fighter obviously, it was the prop driven COD. It was the most fun and terrifying 5-10 seconds of my naval career haha. Every once in awhile we got to see the sun and go up to the bridge and watch flight ops. Always impressed me how those guys could catch the wire every time.
