I had seen a news clip where an individual was carrying open without a retention strap in a convinience store and a teenager walked up behind him and stole the pistol from the holster and ran out of the store!

Has SC law always prevented a citizen from being in possession of a firearm or ammunition if they have ever been sentenced to 1 year or more?
I miss your videos.., But listen to you podcasts regularly.
I just hope law enforcement knows since the law was in effect immediately after McMaster signed and some may not know these things and that could be an issue but hopefully not.

I didn't know you were in SC. Must be Greenville area or upstate somewhere? I'm in Charleston area. I'm glad that the duty to inform issue has been addressed properly. I was always confused about CWP having duty to inform but regular Joe has no duty to inform. I forgot to inform on my one and only CWP traffic stop. I did inform when he returned to vehicle. There was no issue, thankfully. Good video as usual. I already knew it all but was curious why you were doing the video at all. Lol. Later
So glad you're explaining it. There are little nuances that can be violated easily if you're not on point.
