  1. While Matt's recommendations on the usage of WP Rocket are spot on, I think what needs to be addressed is that you SHOULD NOT use a few of Divi's Performance settings in conjunction with WP Rocket's settings because

    (1) can cause a conflict and
    (2) it doesn't make any additional improvements to pageload for you–so there's no point in doubleing up on two settings that do the same thing.

I think thorough testing should be done because not all Divi sites are built the same.

To minimize issues when solely using WP Rocket for caching and optimization, you need to disable the following in Divi's settings (by the way WP Rocket does cover this in their own documentation):

Divi > Theme Options > Performance:

    – Load Dynamic Stylesheet In-Line

    – Critical CSS (if you're using WP Rocket's 'Removed Unused CSS', disable Divi's Critical CSS)

    – Disable WordPress Emojis (WP Rocket does this for you)

    – Improve Google Fonts Loading (WP Rocket does this for you)

    – Defer jQuery And jQuery Migrate (WP Rocket does this for you if you're using it's settings)

BTW, if you are using WordPress Gutenberg's editor and the editor's CSS, then disable "Defer Gutenberg Block CSS" in Divi's settings. Some admins actually use the block editor and the styles.

    Just my two-cents worth.

  2. Hey Matt just wanted to let you know that thanks to your WP Rocket video I decided to take the plunge and use it for a clients website. Their site was poorly developed (not by me I might add!) and scored a grade E with Gmetrix. Since I applied various updates including re writing some code and installing WP Rocket it now scores a grade A and is lightening fast! Thanks man!

  3. Fabulous channel! I took over a Divi site for a client and to be honest I am out of my depth since I create custom WordPress themes so this is really helpful. Thanks dude!

  6. Hi Matt – That was a great video! (like always)
    A few questiongs:
    1. Can you do a Full Tutorial on how to set up Divi with WPRocket + Cloudflare CDN (for BEST speed and chaching optimization – Without breaking the site) PLEASE!
    2. If I'm on a budget – is there a way to make sure that all website images are Web3 and NOT jpg or png without using a paid service?
Thank you for your amazing videos!

  7. Thanks, Matt. I am struggling with buying WP Rocket. I used a lot of "Caching"-plugins, but none is really combining the CSS and JS-Scripts. I am also hosting with Siteground, but the Server is not "Frankfurt", where it should be, because my target group is in germany, but in Canada. No clue how to change the premade server.
