How to STEAL Mining Ship From NPC | Star Citizen Tips & Tricks

The only benefit you get by stealing the Prospector is the mining scanner. You will be able to scan for hand minables, but you will NOT be able to extract any ore with the hijacked ship. I still consider it a good option for new players or those who want to stick with the starter ships – especially because your personal inventory with commodities is protected against server crashes (30k)

How to steal Prospector?
1) Spawn any tiny ship you are able to eject from
2) Start the Claimjumpers mission
3) Approach the objective, but not the sentries
4) Wait until prospector will come to you
5) Start Self-Destruct sequence and eject
6) Once your ship is destroyed – approach the confused Prospector (which will remain stationary), enter the ship and kill the pilot
7) Scan for hand minables
