So it turns out I don't understand how caving works in 1.20.
The updates to ore generation have gone back and forth so much that I am lost!
But as far as I can tell; diamonds used to spawn LESS when exposed to air, then they increased it (This is where I got confused), at one point Diamonds would generate a lot in water caves as water isn't air but they might have fixed that, and I'm not sure at which stage of this pipeline the Season started at.

Ok so my official headcanon now, based on this video, is thus: Mumbo is now The Little Mermaid, aka Mermumbo, and he must now have a Mermumbo skin for any future underwater cave explorations, and one day while he is searching for undersea treasures, he catches sight of the hardworking fisher Grian, and they secretly fall in love, but then Mermumbo is captured by the evil zoo curator Scar and locked away in one of his aquatic exhibits, and now Grian must attempt to save Mermumbo from being trapped in Scar's captivity forever.
I wonder if a Recovery Compass would've helped Mumbo find the things he lost in the cave due to his death…
The fact that he went so far just to get all of those resources means that the other hermits are gonna have a hard time trying to get resources

When restocking item frames buy whatever type of logs you own from doc for cheap (because you get half the sand back in theory)
Because of the title, I didn't even realise this was a Hermitcraft episode until episode 11 dropped. When I intially saw the title, I just thought "12 hours of mining? That doesn't sound like content I would watch. Skip!" because my first thought was that Mumbo was just going to mine for 12 hours in a random survival world and see how much resources he could gather in that time. If it at least had the Hermitcraft thumbnail template, I would have realised it was a resource gathering video for Hermitcraft. I'm not hating, just thought it was kinda funny 😀
