Mining in Newfoundland Fireside Chat

Drill companies are currently having difficulty with funding with stock prices dropping and loss of interest in the gold market. Winter may slow some and the thick overburden and soils are causing problems. Initially, the slow data coming back from core samples was also slowing up companies with results. Hopefully, Newfoundland will work with the companies and keep the exploration readily going.
Most likely, around January we will see the US either holding steady on interest rates or a slight decrease. Regardless, we're probably looking at a much better gold market and therefore interest in mining stocks in or before January. The election cycle is coming up and they typically lower interest rates to favor the party that is in power. They will try to hold off on lowering interest rates till then.
