Ah yes. The “moved the rig and now it’s not working issue” 😂 I literally just moved an Octominer to another rack but I kept it running while I moved it cause I was afraid of that very thing happening 🤣

Take heart the the pices of dirt that caused that mark was already there before you moved it. It's just coincidence.
Clean the PCIE connector on the gpu, and try it in a test rig. I use a Fiber Pencil. You could use P1200grit paper.
Mark that PCIE slot in the MOBO as questionable.

Usually things don't run smoothly mining I notice when you've got lots of time to deal with the problems it doesn't happen but when you don't have much time it will give you an error or a GPU that's not working lol

ZOTAC fans suck! I have 2 3090's zotac, both had broken fans. Replaced them tho and working fine now.

That 3080 needs repairs, because that is shorted on 12v (i m repair technician of video cards) dont put that card again! it was not your fault, that gpu was going to die anyway

I'd swap out the malfunctioning fan on the 3080, I wouldn't be able to rest peacefully with the thought that something might overheat and possibly lead to a fire.
What is the average amount you make daily with a setup this large? And what does a setup this large cost roughly? Out of curiosity

When you have a malfunction a fast reboot is not enough to get the card/pci to reset.
Hiveos shut down and reboot on 30 sec function should reset the pci and resolve the issue unless the card is broken.

Went through 3 sets of fans on my strix 3090. Picked up a white set, going strong for 14 months. No more thermal pads, has custom copper plate with 3 tubes of thermal grizzly kryonaut sandwiched in between. Temps are great!

I'm locked in at 7.25, but when I include all the other fees, ( divided total bill by power used ) the actual rate is 16.25.

Something to think about…not everybody has access to an Octominer…show how disconnected you are sometimes…might turn off new subscribers…just my two cents

Touching these PCI-e pin's on the GPU's are not optimal for good connections. They can safely be wiped with isopropyl alchohol once touched 🙂

My msi 3080 gaming trio has a bad fan when I replaced it, it still gets stuck and resets rig, but if I put it in my computer which I’ve had for 5 months now. It’s fine lol.

same issue moved a rig and 1 3080 fe down.
You could switch the bottom of the rack to vertical. You can get 20x Octominers on a single rack.

02:32 Zotac, Asus, PNY, Gigabyte all fail if you run them long term over 80% but they're just fine if you aren't an animal.
