  1. Okay, so I've already got a PostgreSQL15 container and a number of DBs for other services (Netbox & Vikunja mainly), do I really need to spin up the PostgreSQL16 container you provided? Or how can I make my existing PostgreSQL15 container work?

  2. How big of a SQL and immich docker container size can I expect to see? My photo/video library is about 250gb and I don't want my docker SSD to run out of room.

  3. So? I have an existing unraid photo share (750 gigs)……can I not simply point Immich to that folder and use Immich? Unless I am missing something I have to create another share and have Immich basically duplicate my existing photo share?

  4. This is a bit off topic but I am having issues getting the internet speed in my Win 10 VM to match the UnRaid speeds. I don't know where it gets bottle-necked at. And thank you so much for your very well done tutorials on putting together the VMs You have by far the best and most understanding ones out there

  5. Hello!

I just started using unraid a few months ago. As a new user your videos are very informative. Thank you for all your hard work.

My main goal of using unraid is to have a way to stop paying monthly fees for additional cloud storage for photos from my phone company.

I do not need to access/store photos while I am away from home. Is it necessary to pay for a domain in order to use immich?

My plan is to have the photos and videos on the phones of my family members save to my unraid server when they connect to the home wifi. Not including the cost of the server hardware, is there a way to back up my photos to immich in a way that is free or as cheap as possible yet secure? I am trying to escape monthly/yearly fees.

    Thank you.

  6. Still watching for the first time, but I'll ask anyway. Can this be setup and told to use a network "share" from another machine/location. Say i want the photos to stay on my truenas box, or a synology box, or something like that, but immach needs to run on unraid.

  7. Been waiting for this video for Immich. Thank you for the work you've put into this. Your channel has helped a lot with getting UnRaid to do what I've needed it to do both at home and at work. This is definitely going to replace google images and Nextcloud.

  8. After the update today to immich version 1.100.0 it stopped working.
Checked the logs and it was not able to connect to Redis.
Not sure if the internal Redis has been deleted or not in this version, but I installed the official Redis container, changed the IP of Redis from "localhost" to the Redis container IP in the immich template/container and then it was back up running 🙂

  9. Is there is no option to use the existing photos library without importing and having another copy? That is sort of a deal breaker as I already have lots of backups. I was hoping just to scan my photos and index them.

  10. Thank you so much for intoducing me to this app. I klicked on the vid thanks to the aggresive thumbnail on the first vid. And i finally have a good soolution for my images. <3
