  1. im running Opencore on my mid 2011 iMac 27" and every time we got an RSR update and I try to install always show up an error and say to try later.,..
By the way, I love all your vids!!!! thanks for helping us out! 🙂

  2. After an update I got stuck on a black screen as follow:

When I do a normal boot I get the three options in the first picture:

BootKicker.efi – selecting this gives me black screen

OpenShell.efi – selecting this gives me some kind of terminal view, but that's way out of my competence level to understand

Reset NVRAM – does exactly that, but nothing changes

When I boot with the following commands, it's just like doing a normal boot. I get to the same screen as in the previous list:

    cmd+alt+shift+R

    cmd+R

    cmd+shift+R

When I hold alt while booting (with a bootable El Capitan stick) I only get the Opencore EFI boot option, as the second image. Selecting that takes me to (1) again.

So yeah, I feel stupid. I know in retrospect that I shouldn't have erased the disk. Is there any way out of this?

Can anyone please help :(… nothing is working./..

  3. I tried twice on my MBP Mid 2015 and twice I had to restart in safe mode and remove, then reinstall 13.4 to get it to reboot properly so it could complete the remove the update. The reason being it hung on start up for least 30 minutes both times and the fan was working like crazy, I take it it should not be so resorted to cowboy fixing.

  4. HELP!! I got a 2012 macbook pro with oclp ventura plus 13.4.1. I can't install 13.4.1 (c) and I do not know how to get rid of 13.4.1 This is very distubing in using Safari. Perhaps anyone could help me in simple and for an older German understandable English. I am not so well in using English language. Thank you.

  5. hello when do you think we can install version 13.5 via opencore will be at the same time as the release of version 13.5 for compatible models or after? (sorry if it's understandable I use google translate if you don't understand what I wrote tell me)

  6. Amazing!! I could install Ventura on my MacBook pro. For some reason I can't use the app store, it doesn't let me log in, is there any fix for that? Everything else is working fine. Somebody else with this issue?? Thanks a lot !! 😊

  7. Hi Mr. Macintosh,
I cannot update this patch. It starts downloading, and a failure notice comes up. Try again, but it's the same thing. One thing is that the Ventura I have is built on an older machine using Open Core Patcher. What seems to be the problem? I appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

  8. Hi Mr Mac I seem to have this problem with my Late 2012 imac running the latest version of Ventura. This problem started a few days ago and for some reason the Dock and the top Menu Bar seem to loose their Transparently and the iMac becomes very slow and glitchy. I did reinstall the Root Patches that fixed the problem but on turning on the iMac this morning I noticed the problems had come back, any ideas? Mick 👌

  9. Installed on my 2013 MacBook Pro retina, which is Haswell, but got stuck part way through the reboot (with the White apple, and the progress bar stopping about a third of the way in). I reset the pram and got to a login screen that was scrambled, which I assume is a resolution issue.

  10. help please i have updated to 13.4.1 (c) and now am stuck on the login screen and its not letting me to type my password to login , i tried to go back with the time machine and its not able to , what can i do please ?

  11. Running 13.4.1(c) update (which failed properly) on my late 2012 – messed up Safari royally – fixed by removing and reapplying OCLP root patches – somehow the update screwed up the patches . . .

  12. This will not install on my system. It always starts to download and then stops and says, "Failed to prepare the software update. Please try again." I've tried and tried and it just doesn't work.

  13. When I ran the security update on my late 13 iMac everything seemed to work as expected but then I got stuck at the login screen. It just looped and wouldnt let me log in. Any sugestions?

  14. Thanks again, Mr. Macintosh, for your easy to understand information. The macOS Ventura 13.4.1 (c) RSR installed quickly and easily on my 2021 M1 iMac and, of course, it did not install on my unsupported 2012 iMac. I will wait for 13.5 as you said.

  15. Hi Mr Mac great video as always, have a quick question for you. How do I find out what version of iMac do I have i.e Ivybridge, Haswell or Newer? I have a late 2012 iMac 13.2

  16. I'm typing from a Mac m2. I bought the device when it first came out. Too many updates came before I could use it, and I noticed that it slowed down a little. I turned off all system updates. I've been using a mac for years. I have used many models. My advice, lock the device to the first version MacOS and do not do any system updates! I will keep writing this until the systematic slowdowns are over!

Devices get slower with each update and eventually become unusable. I've used and experienced this for years. My intention is not to attack. Although I am apple fan, I wanted to share these facts with you. I've been using devices this way for years and I've never had a problem!

Note! If you are dealing with only creative work on these devices, there is no risk at all. However, if you use it as a normal pc, yes, it may pose a risk because you do not update.

  17. @Mr. Macintosh Sidenote, continuity camera always gets a black screen. I'm running a 2015 15" same as yours. Are you able to use this feature? I saw in another video that one has to spoof the serial number to a newer model having the same resolution settings as the 2015.
