I apologize in advance if I have missed any of your questions. I will try my best to answer all of your questions.
My palworld server appid is showing the game appid instead of the server appid, and I think that's preventing my friends from joining any idea on how to resolve?
ok can we slow down and dumb it down. things are being skipped for us that dont know this stuff. first at 1:54 i get the copy but where am i pasting to? you dont say. it might be obious to you but not everyone else. yea i see some get it but…
Do I have to keep the Batchfile open continuously for my server to be running?
Notice it only works for me that way.
hello it says in the video the arguments are optional as well when i create the bat file and open it it looks different from yours on screen and idk if it is actually working due to it not connecting to the server
Does it work for the torrent game.
Anyone else getting 404 not found when they go to download the duckdns gui?
Humble, my pc shut down randomly and when I tried to open the server back up I just couldn’t. I’m not sure if that happened to you but do you have any tips?
When I created a dedicated server but when I go into "PalSavedConfigWindowsServer" and open it the "PalWorldSettings.ini" file isn't there.
No matter what I try, port 8211 never listens. I have forwarded the port, run the server, even made specified rules for 8211 in the firewall, and still nothing.
Alright my question is probably a dumb one but, does this work even if your computer is shut off where people can still join?
so i tried the everything from the start but it says when i run the bat : (Setting breakpad minidump AppID = 1623730)
I have a world that i created solo. Is it possible for me to copy my progress over onto the new dedicated server i just started? I know that ive heard of people being able to do this. Also, Now that ive created the dedicated server, does my PC have to be on with duck DNS running in order for people to log on?
The application download link for duckdns zip isn't working, getting a 404 error every time I try to go to download it, is there another way to download the zip? Or can you possibly put it in the description?
is it okay if its pal world settings only and not the ini
Is there a way to allocate more RAM to the server and if so how?
I did not download this through steam and downloaded through the xbox website app and downloaded it for PC. Does this dedicated server also work for this as well? or just via STEAM
cant seem to get the duck site to give me the download, used wayback machine but prog wont load to install
Me again so i did everything the guide suggested and then some and no matter what they cant connect to me they just get connection timed out message
I've followed all these steps, but others trying to join time out, i can get in though. any suggestions?
I get an error saying "windows cannot find C:program", any help?
will respond asap
do you know if everything will work after there would be updated in the game?
like is it possible to update the server?
thanks!
Thank you very much!
The only guide that truly works, thank you!
I still can't see my server name in the community section. However it appears the server works. I appreciate this tutorial. I sadly have no one to try and check that it fully works but can get on so thats a start =P lol
Hi I'm new at hosting servers and i badly want to host a server for my friend and i but im having problems with the port forwarding part in my router it has different things to enter (e.g. start port & end port for local and external)
it would look like this
——————————————————————————————————————————————-
Local || External
——————————————————————————————————————————————
Ip Address || Start Port || End Port || Source Ip || Start Port || End Port || Protocol
——————————————————————————————————————————————
Something like this I've tried multiple ways and can't seem to get it working i would've appreciate it if you could help me
p.s. Great video it helps me a lot
will it always be this difficult just to play multiplayer? cause this is enough to turn from playing it altogether….
Why isnt my files showing up exe or ini? dont understand why and doesnt show in video
Manged to get the server up and running but can't figure out how to replace the server files with my pre-exisiting singleplayer world files
This is the most complicated BS ive ever seen to try and host a damn server dawg
what if you dont have the palworldsettingsinine??
Awesome video, thanks!!
Does anyone knows if I can send the dedicated server files to my friend, so he can host the game if I can't one day?
in the ini file, if i used duckdns, what do i put in the public ip section? the domain name or my computers public ip?
the saved folder in the pal folder is not coming up for me what do i do
