When I was 7 years old learning to fish my uncle told me respect every hook or they'll make you respect them. Thank God, I've never hooked myself. Told me the same thing when I started carrying a pocketknife. Have never cut myself with them. 🙏

bet that hurt 😃 I remember reading an article, many years ago(20+) about some chap fly fishing UK, as he cast the wind changed and he took the fly through the white of his eyeball(luckily only the white) whilst he was in agony, they snipped the barb in hospital and sorted it👍👍
