  1. I have my ups plugged in to home assistant. Lots of sensors to work with. Only issue I am having is I can't figure out how to get home assistant to shut down my unraid server. And for those wondering why I have it plugged into home assistant and not unraid is I want HA to shut down multiple servers on different ups's as well as other devices that may be running. HA uses the least amount of power and I have more battery than I need to run the switch, router, and HA. They last more than an hour. I have RPI's running nut servers on the other ups's to monitor them and like everything all in one place.

  2. Any advice for which UPS to buy? I got a great deal on a M1 Mac Mini and it's only downside is not having a battery like a laptop does. Would love to have extra room in terms of energy budget for powering the display and other office equipment for safely shutting everything down in case of power failure.

  3. I would consider a UPS, but I will not get those lead acid jobs, and lithium ion ups's are ten times more expensive at the moment. Right now I have an APC line conditioner, and it's save me more then a few times.

  4. Lol perfect timing. Setting up a NUT server and shutting down all 3 servers: proxmox, synology, and unraid system is my next project. Right now only the Synology shuts down but the unraid takes the most power so id like that to shutdown quickly too. Only have a lower rating cyberpower for now.
